According to Greek mythology, Medusa (Greek: Μέδουσα) was a Gorgon, a monster with venomous snakes instead of hair. According to the legend those who gazed upon her would turn to stone.

Carnelian is an orange-colored variety of Chalcedony and it's name derives from the Latin word "caro" meaning "flesh". Warriors used to wear carnelian stones for empowerment and courage and Ancient Egyptians used to call carnelian "The Setting Sun".

The Lapis Lazuli stone is the symbol of wisdom and truth. It has a deep, heavenly blue color that remains a symbol of royalty and honor, a symbol of power, divinity and spirituality.

Iolite is known as the Vikings' Compass, and it is believed to have the ability to guide us from one realm to the next. Viking explorers used thin pieces of Iolite as the world's first polarizing filter in order to determine their position based on the coastline and the location of the sun.
